Denmark has fewer natural resources than any other country. Trees help people a lot because they provide wood to make boats to provide transportation. Water is another big resource. Denmark's North Sea provides more than half of the fish that Denmark needs. Denmark's animals provide a lot of the food for Denmark. The animals that provide this are beef and dairy cattle, hogs, chickens and ducks.

Denmark has many service, industry, and agriculture percentages. The percentages for service in 1980 was 58%. The percentage for industry was 35%. The percantage for agiculture was 7%. In 1988 things shifted, and percentages changed. The service percentage was 67% . The percentages for industry dropped to 27%. Agriculture also dropped to 6%. However, in 1993 the service went up to 69%. Industry stayed the same at 27% . Agriculture dropped to 4% .

Denmark has many physical features. More than half of the fish that Denmark needs is caught in the North Sea . There is one other sea, the Baltic Sea. Some of the other features are the Great Belt, Fario Islands, Skagragak and the Little Great Belt. Not to forget the largest lake in Denmark, Lake Arreso, which is 16 square miles.

Denmark has very good fishermen. The boats on the North Sea usually catch about one forth to two million tons of fish. The kinds of fish caught in the North Sea are herring, cod, Norway pout, sand lances, sprat and whiting. Esbjering is Denmark's biggest fishing port.

There are many types of crops and animals in Denmark. The types of crops are barley, potatoes, beets, wheat, sugar and rye. Barley is the most popular crop. They are beef and dairy cattle, hogs, chickens and ducks. About one fourth of Denmark's land is farmed today. Only about 8% of the population still farms.

Manufacturing in Denmark is good. Most electronics come from Denmark such as TV sets and stereos. They manufacture furniture, clothes, porcelain, chemical products and foot ware. Other manufactured items include diesel engines, ships, super tankers, ham, cheese and butter.

Manufacturing is about 20% of the work force. Almost all the Danish Industry is privately owned. The government operates the gas and electrical utilites. Danish firms are run with about 60 employees. Danish farms are about 7% of the work industry. Most farming is done by individual people. Some fields are used to produce barley the cereal crop.
