The Government in Denmark is set up with a constitutional monarchy.It consists of a Prime Minister,Parliment,Courts a king or a queen.Denmark has 1 house that consistsof 179 members. 139 people are elected from Denmark,2 from Greenland,2 from the Faeroe Islands and 2 from other various parties.

In Denmark the prime minister ishead of the government.The monarchappoints the Prime Minister.The parliment needs the majority of the parliment to support him.The Prime Minister is appointed bythe clear majority.Since there are somany political parties it is hardto get a clear majority. In that casethe person that has the strongest colisionwill win. There are also two high courtswith a total of 50 judges. Atleast 3 high court judges and a 12 man juryhear the serious criminal cases.If the verdict is innocent thisdecision is final.But if the verdictis quilty, the judges may reversethe verdict. When deciding theprison sentence the judges and jurors work together. There are more than 100 lower courts.Denmark has an army a navy and an air force. The armed forces have about 500,000men serving. Men serve in the areas together. Men can serve from ages19 to 25. Men in the armed forceswere required to serve bettween14 to 16 months.Denmarks highest supreme courtconsists of 15 judges.
