History about Germany:
Hitler did run for President, and he did get elected for President. That's when the Nazi's started to kill Jewish people. Hitler then started to invade Austria and other countries and tried to rule Europe.The Americans teamed up with France, and Great Britain to try to stop Hitler from his destruction of Europe. The Americans and their allies later won the war.
The capital of East Germany was Bonn, but when the Berlin wall (separating east from west Berlin) was broken down, Berlin was the new capital. The unification of West Germany and East Germany took place October 3, 1990.
